Rooted in Clean Living

Color & Flame Handmade began with a simple, frustrating realization: whether we bought a cheap store-bought candle or an expensive luxury brand, we kept ending up with that subtle chemical "tickle" in the back of our throats. The culprit was standard industry ingredients—paraffin wax derived from petroleum, phthalates, and harsh fillers. While we loved the idea of home fragrances, we didn't like the experience.

Drawing on Elizabeth’s background as a certified herbalist and naturopathic doctor, and Drew's experimental mindset, we set out to create genuinely clean home and body products, starting first with therapeutic shower steamers and high-performance soy and soy-apricot candles, before expanding into a more complete bath and body lineup.

We don't do generic. Rather than simple scent notes, our fragrances are artistically designed to transport you—whether that means evoking an early morning forest walk or stepping into a warm, old-world bakery. Creating story-driven scentscapes is at the heart of how we craft our products.

Everything we make, from our candles to our perfumes, lotions, sugar scrubs, and room sprays, is formulated from scratch in small, handcrafted batches right here in Salem County, NJ.
